DUI/3 Strikes
A new trend in DUI laws calls for enhanced sentencing for multiple offenders. Under these new laws, multiple offenses within 5 or 7 years are charged as a felony rather than a misdemeanor. Many states have considered charging multiple DUI offenses as a felony during the defendant’s lifetime rather than 5 or 7 years.
